Diets Don't Work
Can we all agree that diets don’t work long-term?
Ridiculous food rules that keep your focus away from your own thoughts and your own body’s signals are what is keeping you on this weight loss/weight gain roller coaster.
So if you’re worried about “breaking your food rules” during this quarantine, let me let you off the hook!
It’s not the food.
It’s not the exercise.
Wait, what?!
Trust me, it is the “habit” that food has become! Things like:

Stress reliever
-
The thing to fill the time when you’re bored
-
A reward
-
A reason to walk away from your computer/work
-
What accompanies watching TV on the couch
So how do you break the habit?
The first step is awareness. Noticing and naming any thoughts or feelings that you are experiencing when you find yourself grabbing food. If the thought/feeling isn’t “I’m hungry,” take a moment to investigate. No judgment...just curiosity.
Then ask yourself what you’re *really* looking for in that moment? Be open to all the possibilities!
